(ORANGE, California) - Featherweight Juan Reyes is known for throwing a high-volume of punches any time he fights.

The same thing occurred on Saturday night, with a conclusion to a bout Reyes is not all too familiar with.

The light-hitting Reyes earned a stoppage win over Heriberto Delgado before a sold-out crowd at the Doubletree Hotel. With the win, Reyes is now unbeaten in his last 10 fights.

Reyes, who hails from the Los Angeles suburb of Fontana, is known around Southern California as a fighter who does not stop throwing punches. His hard-nosed, aggressive style has been well-received by fight fans wherever he fights in Southern California.

After winning his first 11 fights, Delgado suffered his first defeat as a pro in his last bout on August 16, losing to veteran Jonathan Alcantara.

Reyes got off to a slow start in the first round. Delgado outboxed him, landing at will to the body and head of Reyes. It was all Reyes from the second round on though.

Reyes was able to hold his ground, but eventually began walking Delgado down, also putting him on the defensive. Reyes mixed in numerous combinations, but found success landing a straight right or right cross, followed by a single or double left hook to the head.

As the bout continued, Delgado's face began to show the effect of Reyes' punches. Delgado went into defense mode midway through the eight round bout and his punch output dropped. Sensing he was hurt, Reyes went in for the kill. He pressed the fight more in the fifth, stunning Delgado with a straight right hand. Referee Raul Caiz, Sr. saw enough and waved the fight over at 1:44.

Reyes improves to 12-1-3, 2 KOs, while Delgado drops to 11-2, 6 KOs.

Carlos Carlson stopped Jesus Serrano in the third round of a scheduled eight round junior featherweight bout.

Serrano utilized his ring generalship, finding success by countering Carlson with combinations. Carlson worked front he center of the ring, looking to set up his right hand, landing it on occasion.

Serrano looked as though he outboxed Carlson during the first two rounds and got off to a good start in the third until a freak incident occurred. During an exchange, Serrano tried to back away, but fell to the canvas and complained he hurt his left ankle. Time was stopped at 53 seconds of the round and when Serrano indicated he was not able to continue, referee Wayne Hedgpeth declared Carlson the winner by technical knockout.

Carlson goes to 17-0, 11 KOs, while Serrano falls to 6-2-2, 5 KOs.

Junior lightweight Erick Ituarte (10-1-1, 2 KOs) won a hard-fought six round unanimous decision over Erick Aguirre.

Both fighters traded pinches during the first half of the fight, but Ituarte landed the more effective punches. Aguirre (6-6-1, 4 KOs) rallied in the fourth round, landing counter right hands to the head of Ituarte. The rally was short-lived as Ituarte swung momentum back in his favor. Ituarte hurt Aguirre with a right hand in the final round, but was not able to follow up.

All three judges scored the bout 59-55 in favor of Ituarte.

In the opening bout, heavyweight Roy McCrary (4-3, 3 KOs) won a four round unanimous decision over Giovanni Sarran.

McCrary, who lost a decision to Taishan Dong two weeks ago, landed the more-telling blows throughout the fight over the shorter Sarran (6-9, 1 KO).

All three judges scored the bout in favor of McCrary, 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37.
