Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) is still undecided regarding his ring return and is still being bothered by a injured right knee during camp. Marquez, who turns 42-years-old in August, has been out of the ring since a May 2014 twelve round decision win over Mike Alvarado at The Forum in Los Angeles, California.
If Marquez decides to return to the ring, he has no shortage of possible opponents. IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook would like to face him the UK. Brandon Rios is interested in facing him. And there is always a very lucrative option with a possible fifth fight against Manny eight division world champion Pacquiao.
"The first and most important thing is my physical state, my health. Right now I'm training. I felt good but then suddenly the knee begins to hurt and that demoralizes me," said Marquez. "You can not operate [on the knee], it is caused by wear and tear and years of training. I do exercises to strengthen the muscles and take some supplements to rehabilitate my knee."
