Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs), 41-years-old, is back training at the famed Romanza gym owned by his longtime trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain.

Marquez has been inactive since last May's twelve round decision win over Mike Alvarado at The Forum in Los Angeles. Several return attempts have been postponed because Marquez has been dealing with a serious knee injury.

The Mexican star is very motivated to fight, at least once more in his Hall of Fame career, and wants to win a fifth divisional title by getting a shot at the welterweight championship.

Several options have been mentioned for Marquez, including IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, who fights this Saturday night against top contender Frankie Gavin.

"Marquez is training hard, he worked very hard and looked very good," said Nacho to ESPN Deportes. "I could see him fighting in September. This week he was consistent in the gym. He was working very hard and he didn't come around to slack off, he came to work."
