WBA/WBO lightweight champion "Dinamita" Juan Manuel Marquez says that he is not going to sit back and stay quiet while lies are being spread. Marquez is angry with some of the information passed along with the recent negotiations to make a third fight with Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao's promoter Top Rank have said the Mexican star overpriced himself and because of his demands they were forced to look elsewhere. Pacquiao is going to defend his WBO welterweight title against Shane Mosley on May 7 in Las Vegas.

Marquez is claiming that Pacquiao and Top Rank wanted nothing to do with him and continued to place demand after demand on the table.

"We accepted everything they put on the table, including the weight, and then they were requesting that Golden Boy Promotions stays away from the negotiations. All of their conditions were accepted, but they refused. It was one thing after another....nothing but excuses," Marquez said.

Golden Boy is trying to make a fight between Marquez and former champion Erik Morales on April 9. Marquez remembers when Morales was on top of the world and claims "El Terrible" refused to give him an opportunity. Marquez smiles because the situation is now on the other foot.

"Morales, he had his chance when I wanted it and right now I'm going to see if he deserves a chance. This is the wheel of fortune and he will get a turn on the wheel of fortune. Erik, when he was on top, he would not fight me and right now the situation is the opposite. Let's see the offer," Marquez said.

Marquez states that he's scheduled a meeting with Golden Boy on January 20 to negotiate the offer to face Morales.
