Fellow Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez was highly critical of the way Antonio Margarito fought against Manny Pacquiao on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium, and he made no bones about it during a recent workout.
"It was a very painful defeat because all the Mexicans, we expected that Margarito could defeat Pacquiao," Marquez said. "But it was a shame because he looked so mechanical, so slow. He put the Mexicans down."
Marquez didn't stop there.
"The media in Mexico, they asked me about the fight and I said you know he has to do this and he has to do that," Marquez said. "But you know, he looked like an amateur fighter. He didn't know how to walk, he didn't know how to throw the jab. It was very disappointing, honestly."
