Former four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs), 40-years-old, could return on a date in May, according to the boxer himself. Marquez was last in the ring in October, when he lost a twelve round split decision to WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Marquez would like to get a rematch with Bradley, but Bradley may enter into a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on April 12th.
"In the event that I decide to continue [my career, my next fight] would be in May, so I could return to the gym in a week, to have a strong preparation, as I'm used to. I'm thinking about a fight in May," said Marquez. "I feel good, but the risks must also be measured, because this sport is one of the most difficult."
