WBO junior welterweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39KOs) was impressive as he tested his stamina with a near 8 mile run at the foot of Nevado de Toluca in Mexico. Marquez is training for his fourth meeting with Manny Pacquiao on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight will be televised on HBO Pay-Per-View.
Besides the run, Marquez also showed his strength by repeatedly chopping wood and pounding a tire with a sledgehammer.
Marquez is scheduled to have at 10 workouts near Nevado de Toluca. He was there at least four times already.
"After working very hard for the first two weeks, my body is aching, but later on you get used to the training and become a well oiled machine," said Juan Manuel.
