It seems the opponent for WBO super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez (25-0, 23KOs) is set. He will face undefeated Canadian fighter Olivier Lontchi (18-0, 8KOs) on June 27 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Lopez-Lontchi replaces Pavlik-Mora as the headline bout of Top Rank's pay-per-view card.
Lontchi was presented with an offer and accepted the fight with little hesitation. This will be his first fight outside of Canada. Judging by his record, he doesn't seem to have much power and he fought to a draw with 18-5 Eduardo Garcia last August. In other words it might be a short night of work for Juanma.
