Former champion Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28KOs) is making a few changes to his team. After suffering two knockout defeats in his last three ring appearances, Lopez is going to hire Puerto Rican trainer Freddie Trinidad. Lopez wants Trinidad to help fix his defensive defects.
The Puerto Rican, boxer, who plans to return in the near future, was knocked out twice by WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido. After the March loss to Salido, Juanma expressed his concern with taking so many punches in the fight.
