The interim WBA champion at 112-pounds, Juan Carlos Reveco (27-1-0-16 KO's), is willing to make the first defense of his title against Panamanian Ricardo "The Mathematician" Nunez (21-2-0-18 KOs), who two weeks ago challenged Reveco to a fight.
"Before I have my fight with Hernan "Tyson" Marquez for the overall flyweight title of the WBA, I would like to defend [the interim title] against Nunez or any other fighter, but hopefully against the Panamanian, but that will be decided by my attorney, Mario Arano," said Reveco. "I don't know much about Ricardo Nunez. All I know about him is that he has a good professional record."
