Promoter Henry Rivalta of Acquinity Sports says that Dominican bantamweight Juan Carlos Payano (12-0, 6 KO’s) is training for a comeback on May 10th against TBA in an event transmitted by the Globo TV network.

Payano, currently ranked at #6 WBA #11 WBC and #14 IBF, is training for this fight and looking a better position and a title shot before the end of 2013. Payano beat Mexican Jose Luis Araiza at The BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla in his last fight on November 30th of last year.

"Right now we’re looking for opponents for Payano's next fight, but nervertheless he is training with the sane enthusiasm he used for all of his past fights; recently we lost an opportunity for a title shot against Tomoki Kameda due to immigration matters, but now we've solve those issues and Payano is prepared to fight," said Rivalta.
