Arena Box Promotion have former WBC cruiserweight champ Juan Carlos Gomez back in action June 4 in Hattersheim. Gomez, in his third fight since returning this year after the loss to Vitali Klitschko last year, takes on Oczan Cetinkaya, Also on the bill is heavyweight Konstantin Airich who facse Alexander Kahl, who went the distance with Gomez last time out. The show in Hattersheim is an annual charity event put on by Hako Sevecke and partners.

 

It will be Dutch heavyweight Harry Duiven, Jr, that take on Big Timo Hoffmann June 4 in Aschersleben. Duiven, Jr, has a background in K 1 and M.M.A. and is in boxing, mainly famous, for beating Duiven, Sr, in a match put together when no other opponent could be found.

 

Swiss middleweight Yves Studer defends the EE-EU title May 29 in Bern. Studer is in against Georgian Shalva Jomardarshvili. Cruiser prospect Nasi Hani is featured on the undercard and will have Kevin Rooney in the corner. The show is promoted by BoxingKings.

 

Sauerland´s Finish-Swedish heavyweight prospect Robert Helenius, has despite a hand injury, been installed as co-challenger for the vacant EU title along with Dane Claus Bertino. The EBU have set May 31 as deadline for purse bids.

 

Danish lightweight Martin Kristjansen has announced his retirement and goes out at 21-2-4. Martin was official challenger for the vacant EU title but when the deadline for purse bids arrived Team Palle, who promoted Kristjansen throughout his career, notified the EBU that their man had retired. Hoang Sang Nguyen, the co-challenger, will now fight the highest available contender in the ratings.
