IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs) is aiming to get his hands on another world title and he wants it sooner than later.

The likely next opponent is WBO world champion Joseph Parker (24-0, 18 KOs).

The two sides are inching closer to a deal.

At the moment they are stuck at 65-35 financial split in favor of Joshua. More than likely a deal will get worked out with a percentage split somewhere in-between that number and Joshua's demand of 70-30.

"We have to get our hands on another championship belt. Joseph Parker is being very realistic in terms of when he's going to fight and negotiations," Joshua said, according to Stuff.

"That's a fight that potentially could happen some time in March or April."

According to Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, Parker is more realistic with his financial demands than WBC world champion Deontay Wilder (39-0, 38 KOs).

"Why do you say Parker first?" Joshua asks. "I don't like to give false promises, but I agree ... Parker is remotely realistic in negotiations."

And Hearn said with respect to Parker being the next in line instead of Wilder - "Because he is the one who is remotely realistic ... remotely realistic."

In a recent interview, Wilder made it clear that he's looking for an even 50-50 split with Joshua or else the unification will not happen.

Hearn has stated that an even 50-50 split for Joshua-Wilder will never happen and he feels the WBC champ is way off the mark when it comes to his position on the financial split.

Wilder is potentially going to defend his title against Cuban puncher Luis Ortiz in the early months of 2018. The two boxers traded words recently, when Wilder was ringside for Ortiz's ring return in Miami, Florida. They were set to fight each other in November, but the contest was called off when Ortiz failed a pre-fight drug test. He's since been cleared by the WBC.
