BoxingScene.com has been advised that former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey (36-4, 22KOs) is back in New York and is working with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing.  The Ghanan fighter is looking to return  to the ring in the month of September.

Clottey has been inactive since his 2nd round knockout victory over Calvin Green in November 2011. Prior to that fight he had been inactive since his unanimous decision loss to Manny Pacquiao in March, 2010.  He is looking to campaign in the junior middleweight division after spending most of his career at 147 pounds.
