According to trainer Henry Ramirez, WBC silver welterweight champion Josesito Lopez (30-4, 18KOs) would certainly be open to the possibility of facing WBO beltholder Timothy Bradley (29-0, 12KOs).
Both fighters made their bones at junior welterweight and secured career defining victories in the month of June at 147.
On June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Bradley shocked the world with a controversial twelve round split decision over Manny Pacquiao. Lopez pulled off his own shocker on June 23rd at Staples Center in Los Angeles, when he broke the jaw of Victor Ortiz and stopped him in nine rounds.
"I like Tim a lot. His trainer, Joel Diaz, was one of the first people to call me and congratulate me when Josesito beat Ortiz. I think it would be great, to see two guys who came up on the local Thompson Boxing shows, going against each other on the world stage. I think it would be a great fight," Ramirez told BoxingScene.com.
However, Ramirez is not holding his breath for such a contest. Like most people out there, Ramirez expects Bradley and Pacquiao to engage each other in a rematch on November 10th.
