David Higgins, promoter for former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, has confirmed that he's been contacted about the possibility of a fight in the UK with Dereck Chisora.

Parker fought twice in the UK in 2018, with a twelve round decision loss to Anthony Joshua and then a decision loss to Dillian Whyte. He closed out the year with a knockout win over Alexander Flores in Christchurch.

Higgins received an email from Eddie Hearn, promoter for Chisora, to see if Parker was willing to travel over once more.

And Parker, according to Higgins, has no problem coming over to face Chisora if the deal is mapped out correctly.

Parker is looking to build up a streak of victories to get himself back in position for rematches with both Joshua and Whyte.

"Like most top heavyweights, Joseph will be willing to fight anyone," Higgins told Sky Sports. "I see Eddie Hearn mentioning Chisora publicly.

"If the deal was right, then sure enough, Joseph certainly will not back away from anyone. It will be interesting to see how that pans out.

"There's been one email from Eddie. No detailed discussion whatsoever. As I say, Joseph would be willing to step in with anyone, provided it's the right terms. I'm hoping to speak to Eddie this week."

Unlike the past, this time around Parker has stayed in shape between fights - to ensure he's fully fit when entering camp.

"Yes, he had a very good off-season, he's kept in shape," Higgins said.

"[It is] Probably the best I've seen him, so he's ready to get in camp as soon as the right deal is put in place."
