After a quick knockout win in his last fight, featherweight contender Joseph Diaz Jr. returns to the ring on September 17, Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya told BoxingScene.com.

Both bouts will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.

De La Hoya was at the Dallas Cowboys preseason training facilities in Oxnard, Calif. Tuesday afternoon. He was joined by Diaz and middleweight prospect Jason Quigley, who will also fight on the Golden Boy Promotions card.

All three were invited by Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to watch practice and interact with the players.

Diaz, who hails from the Los Angeles suburb of South El Monte, is coming off a second round knockout win over Victor Proa on July 30 in Indio, Calif.

The September 17 bout will be the third of 2016 for Diaz (21-0, 12 KOs), who has expressed he would like to fight again in December.

There is no opponent yet for Diaz.

"We're still working out the particulars (of Diaz's opponent)," said De La Hoya.

Quigley (11-0, 9 KOs), who is originally from Donegal, Ireland and now resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Woodland Hills, is coming off a one-sided victory over fringe contender James De La Rosa on May 7 in Las Vegas.

Quigley will be fighting on the non-televised portion of the Golden Boy Promotions card.
