Super middleweight contender Jose Uzcategui will face Fabiano Pena on Saturday night, Zanfer Promotions liaison Sean Gibbons confirmed to BoxingScene.com late Thursday night.
The 10 round bout will take place at La Cetto Vineyard in Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California, Mexico. The bout will open the beIN Sports en Espanol broadcast at 11 p.m. ET/ 8 p.m. PT.
Uzcatagui (25-1, 21 KOs) stopped gatekeeper Derrick Findley after the third round in his last bout on June 18. Uzcategui, who is originally from Venezuela and currently resides in nearby Tijuana, has won knocked out his last three opponents since losing to Matt Korobov in June of 2014.
Uzcategui is the mandatory challenger to IBF titleholder James DeGale, but the British fighter has a potential unification bout with WBC titleholder Badou Jack.
Pena (18-5-1, 14 KOs) has won his last two bouts since being stopped by Joe Smith in the second round on Apr. 23.
Pena, who is originally from Brazil and now resides in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, has also lost to unbeaten fighters Vyacheslav Shabranskyy, Trevor McCumby, Ahmed Elbiali, and D'Mitrius Ballard.
In the main event, unbeaten welterweight Carlos Ocampo (19-0, 12 KOs) will take on hard-hitting Alvaro Robles (19-5, 17 KOs) in a 10 round bout.
