In what has become an annual tradition for District 2, Valle, Ramirez and his team plan to give away approximately 520 turkeys and dinners to families throughout the district at events in Corcoran, Home Garden, Avenal, and Kettleman City.  The CrisCom Company, Western States Petroleum Association, and Waste Management, contributed to the effort.

“I want to extend my gratitude to Jose Ramirez and the wonderful organizations that really came through for my constituents with their generous support this year,” said Supervisor Valle.  “With their help, we will be able to provide a healthy and happy Thanksgiving to many families in Kings County."

Said Jose Ramirez, NABF Title Holder, 2012 Olympian Boxer and undefeated pro (12-0, 9KO's) , “On behalf of the residents of Avenal and throughout Kings County, I thank Supervisor Valle for his leadership and continued effort to distribute Thanksgiving turkeys and dinners to families.  Together, we will fight hunger at a time that the water crisis has so many people out of work.”

"Im proud of Jose and what he stands for outside of the ring, its one thing to sell out an a major arena of 10,000 people in your home town and shatter records but its another to get involved with how you got to this point to be able to do so, its an honor for us to do this with Supervisor Valle and with these communities and do something positive as this is what Top Rank boxing stands for and our community is about", said agent/promoter Rick Mirigian
