Jose "Sniper" Pedraza (16-0 10 KO's) continues full steam ahead as he prepares for his engagement on June 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York, as part of the event which is headlined by Miguel Cotto and WBC middleweight champion Sergio 'Maravilla' Martinez. Pedraza's father, Luis Espada, indicates that he still has not decided who will be his opponent.

"He is very happy and excited. Anxious to get to the 7th. The weight is comfortable and the cut he had in Ponce is well sealed. I do not even remember that. He is working hard and sparring," Espada said.

Pedraza, who is the champion at 130 pounds of the IBO and also has two other titles in the same division, is aiming to conquer one of the belts of the world's leading organizations by early 2015.

"This fight coming up, we do not know whether it's eight or ten rounds. There are a few names being mentioned but they have not given us the final opponent."

Espada said they expect to travel to New York on June 2 to have enough time to fulfill any commitment that comes with all kinds of examinations and documentations required by the Commission of that state.

"Depending on how we exit this fight, we could be fighting in July, August and October. And we have the space to [fight in] December," Espada said.
