The Latino lightweight champion of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Puerto Rico's Jose "Chelo" González, will defend his belt on the 2nd of September when he headlines the sixth edition of "A Puno Limpio," which is also going to feature the return of former Olympian McJoe Arroyo and heavyweight Carlos Negron. The event is being staged at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon on a presentation by PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP), in association with Top Rank, which is broadcast live and exclusively through WAPA and WAPA America 2.

Gonzalez (16-0, 12 KOs) was crowned on June 3 when he knocked out Pipino Cuevas Jr.  in his third fight of 2011. Toabajeño fighter, who is ranked at number eight by the WBO at 135 lbs, will defend his title against a Latino opponent in a ten round bout.  

McJoe Arroyo (7-0 and four knockouts), has not fought since January 22 when he knocked out Eduardo Melendez in a card held in a Bayamon priosn. Arroyo suffered an injury to his mouth that kept him inactive. He's going to take a six round fight at 118-pounds against an opponent to be determined.

Meanwhile, Negron (13-0 and nine KOs), another former Olympian, will make his fourth appearance in the heavyweight division.
