Lightweight contender Jose Felix will fight Alan Herrera on October 14, Top Rank matchmaker Brad Goodman told BoxingScene.com Wednesday night.

The 10 round bout will take place at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, a suburb of Los Angeles.

UniMas will air the fight, beginning at 11 p.m. ET/ PT.

Felix (34-1-1, 26 KOs) is coming off a sixth round knockout win over Robert Frankel in his last bout on August 27 in Fallon, Nev.

He has won his last seven bouts since suffering his only loss as a pro to Bryan Vasquez in April of 2014.

The 24-year-old is ranked amongst the top five in two go boxing's sanctioning bodies.

Herrera (33-8, 21 KOs) has lost four of his last five bouts. In his last bout on January 23, Herrera was stopped after the eighth round by unbeaten Alejandro Luna.

Also fighting on the Top Rank card, unbeaten welterweight Egidijus Kavaliauskas (14-0, 12 KOs) will face Cameron Kreal (8-11-2, 1 KO) in an eight round non-televised bout.
