New York – Gotham Boxing, together with Seminole Warrior’s Boxing, announced today that unbeaten Lightweight Jorge Teron from the Bronx, had been added to the already super strong fight card being held at the Hard Rock Café on Broadway and West 44th St on Wednesday, June 11th.
Teron, a three time New York City Golden Gloves champion, world rated # 7 by the WBO and the NABO champion as well as the NYS Lightweight Champion.
In the main event, the IBF Junior Middleweight # 1 contender, Sechew Powell, 23 – 1 with 14 KO’s, fights Deandre Latimore, 18 – 1 with 15 KO’s, from St. Louis.
In the semi-final is one of New York’s hottest prospects, Middleweight Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin, 18–0 with 14 KO’s, versus Columbia tough guy Dionisio Miranda, 18-1-2 with 17 KO’s.
Gotham’s promoter, Cedric Kushner said “ To add Teron to a show that is already as good as this one is incredible. Any of these three guys, Teron, Quillin or Powell, could be fighting in the main event”.
Seminole Warrior’s promoter, Leon Margules said “ In the days of shows held in over sized buildings and stadiums, the experience for the spectators being right at ringside will truly be a memorable one”.
