Eight weeks of training were well worth it for welterweight Jorge Paez Jr., who says he feels strong, focused, skilled in handling the ring and accurate with his combinations. And this Saturday night he will go against one of his biggest tests. "Maromerito" Paez (34-4-1, 20 KOs) will face the former champion of the world, the always dangerous Colombian contender Juan Urango (24-3-1, 19 KOs) at the Palenque Promocasa Forum in Baja California.

"I feel very good after two months of training, very strong, and this has been the best preparation of my career. Urango is a classy fighter, strong, but we are ready to face him. If you want to be world champion, you have to beat the best," said Paez Jr.  "We are ready for this type of a tough opponent. I like challenges. I asked my promoter, Zanfer, for a fight of this type and I already got it. Now I need to get in there and win."
