Jorge Linares (31-1, 20 KOs) is focused on Saturday's big fight, but he would love to face WBC junior welterweight champion Erik Morales in 2012. Linares takes on Antonio DeMarco (25-2, 18 KOs) for the vacant WBC lightweight title on Saturday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The main event will feature Bernard Hopkins defending his WBC light heavyweight title against Chad Dawson.

Morales returns on December 10th in Mexico. He plans to drop down in weight in 2012, with his mind focused on capturing a fifth world title in a fifth weight division. Morales already approached WBC President Jose Sulaiman to get his approval for a fight against the Linares-DeMarco winner.

"Of course I want that fight. Morales is a good champion but first I have to win this fight right here [with DeMarco]," Linares said.
