WBC Featherweight Champion Jorge Linares, defends his title against rugged Colombian tenth-ranked challenger Feider Viloria on May 31st at the International Business and Convention Center in Chetumal, Mexico.  

Chetumal, which is close to the border with Belize, is the state capitol of Quintana Roo.
Nearby Cancun has held some recent big hit events including Night of the Champions, the WBC’s second Medical Congress and Mexico hosting its first ever heavyweight Championship fight, which was between Oleg Maskaev and Samuel Peter in Cancun. 

Undercard fights for this event, include an official featherweight eliminatory bout between Mexico’s Guty Espadas Jr and Japan’s Naoki Matsuda.  Salvador Sanchez- the nephew of the legendary Mexican will also be fighting on the bill, which has been entitled: In Mayan Border Chetumal.

Undefeated sensation Jorge Linares fought in Cancun as recently as December in an event dubbed "Iron Fists".

The State Governor of Quintano Roo Felix Gonzalez Canto said: “We are delighted to have a champion like Jorge Linares fighting in Chetumal, our Capitol. When he fought in Cancun, we saw the power of his fists, but also how many people believed in him and follow him as fans.”

Promoter Pepe Gomez, says that this show can be seen on television in Asia, Oceania, Central and South America, North Africa and Europe.

He’s also pledging to do his utmost to persuade Manny Pacquiao to come and fight in Mexico for the first time, by the end of this year.
