BoxingScene.com has been informed that unbeaten super bantamweight/featherweight contender Jorge Lara (25-0, 17KOs) of Mexico has signed an agreement with influential adviser/manager Al Haymon.
Lara is promoted by Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing LLC. This would mark the fourth boxer from Lewkowicz's stable that Haymon signed in the last few weeks. Late last month Haymon signed three fighters from Lewkowicz's company - undefeated super featherweight contender Javier Fortuna (25-0-1, 18KOs), super bantamweight slugger Jonathan Guzman (16-0, 16KOs) and super bantamweight contender Oscar Escandon (23-1, 16KOs) of Colombia.
Haymon, with well over 100 fighters under contract, also works with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Adrien Broner, Robert Guerrero, Marcos Maidana, Lucas Matthysse, Danny Garcia, Peter Quillin, Adonis Stevenson, Amir Khan, Omar Figueroa, Leo Santa Cruz, Abner Mares, Chad Dawson, Deontay Wilder, Rances Barthelemy, the Charlo brothers and many, many others.
