Former champion Jorge Barrios returned for the first time in nearly a year, winning an easy twelve round decision over Moises Castro in a lightweight bout on Saturday night at the Polideportivo Carlos Cerutti in Cordoba, Argentina.

Barrios refuses to forget about his grudge with WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero. Back in February, during the press conference to announce the "Lightweight Lighting" pay-per-view, Barrios confronted Valero at the podium and the two exchanged insults. The fighters were separated to avoid the possibility of any punches being exchanged. Barrios has no respect for Valero or the champion's undefeated record.

"Nobody cares about Edwin Valero. Not even his own mother would buy a ticket to watch his fights. He is a communist. Valero is a homosexual but I will make a man out of him. I promise that after I beat him I will cut that long hair and make him into a man," Barrios told BoxingScene.com
