Jorge Arce (51-4-1, 39KOs) says that his upcoming fight against WBC/IBF/WBA super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan (31-1-1, 25KOs) will be about pride. The two clash on February 7 at the Home Depot Center in California. Showtime will televise. Arce is upset over recent comments that Darchinyan made about some of the Mexican fighters he beat in the past.

"I can't get enough of Mexican fighters.  They bounce real good off the canvas when I hit them," boasted Darchinyan.  "Let's see, I've stopped Cristian Mijares, Victor Burgos and Luis Maldonado over the past two years."

Arce has no respect for Darchinyan because he feels the Australian fighter is ignorant and talks too much, but he also says those are the kind of fighters who fall the hardest.

"I've always had respect for to my opponent, because I am a professional in the ring, but this Darchinyan - I don't him the smallest amount of respect. He makes fun of his adversaries by boasting about his his victories over my Mexican countrymen. He is an ignorant and talkative fool and those are the ones who go down the best," Arce told ESTO.
