Former champion Jorge Arce (52-6, 40KOs) is training for the fight of his life as he takes on Angky Angkota (23-4, 14KOs) of Indonesia on January 30 for the vacant WBO super flyweight title in Toluca, México. Arce plans to hang up the gloves at the end of the year and wants to go out like a champion. A loss will make his retirement come a lot faster than expected.

"Everybody knows my desire, my physical condition and I will delivered. This time they will see an aggressive side, but I'll be thinking things out. My trainer Nacho Beristain has made me look at a lot of details, a lot of errors, which I will not commit, and I promise that I will win the world crown," Arce told ESTO.

Nacho Beristain said that he sat Arce down and made him watch several past fights to point out the mistakes that he was making.

"El Travieso and I have sat down to watch videos of his fights, and I've shown him that it's one thing to box, and another to go to war. In the fight that he lost in Cancun with Simphiwe, I pointed out that came to go to war, and not to box. You have to courage in your actions, but you also have to mix it up by boxing and thinking things through. He understood everything and we'll see what happens against Angkota. We saw a video of his fights and I can say that he is a good fighter it's not going to be easy. It can be a very hard fight," Beristain said.
