Time is running out. As previously reported, the World Boxing Association ordered the camps for cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (38-3-2, 30KOs) and interim-champion Denis Lebedev to reach an agreement by June 29th or else a purse bid will be ordered.
According to Lebedev's manager Vladimir Hryunov, he made a proposal to Jones' promoter Don King to stage a fight against Lebedev (24-1, 18KOs) in the month of October in Moscow, Russia. Hryunov has yet to hear back from King.
