Junior welterweight Jonathan Montrel will headline a boxing card on Sunday, April 27 at the Performing Arts and Events Center in Carteret, New Jersey. An opponent for the eight-round bout has yet to be locked in, promoter Thomas LaManna of Rising Star Promotions tells BoxingScene.

The fight will headline a card that airs live on DAZN, bringing club show boxing to a global platform.

Montrel, 19-3 (13 KOs), of New Orleans is riding a four-fight winning streak since losing back-to-back decisions in 2023. Most recently, he fought Jose Edgardo Garcia earlier this month in his home state of Louisiana, winning an eight-round decision.

The card will also feature a pair of Jaron “Boots” Ennis’ proteges, Ismail Muhammad, 7-0 (4 KOs), and Dennis Thompson, 5-0 (3 KOs), both of Philadelphia, in separate six-round fights.

Junior middleweight Robert “The Tiger” Terry, 12-1-1 (4 KOs), of Jersey City will look to bounce back from his first defeat, a split decision loss to Andreas Katzourakis last August, in an eight-round fight.

Also in eight-round action, super middleweight Nadim Salloum, 13-2 (7 KOs), of Jounieh, Lebanon and junior lightweight Chiara Dituri, 9-2 (3 KOs), of Brooklyn, New York will face separate opponents.

The rest of the card includes six-round fights featuring featherweight Malik Nelson, 5-0 (4 KOs), of Avenel, New Jersey; junior welterweight Gabriel Gerena, 7-1 (6 KOs), of Piscataway, New Jersey; plus junior lightweight Justin Palmieri, 4-0 (2 KOs), of Maple Shade, New Jersey against Joshua Draughter, 5-5-1 (1 KO).
