LAS VEGAS – Two-time world heavyweight champion John “The Quietman” Ruiz (41-7-1, 28 KOs) has offered to replace injured Oleg Maskaev on October 6 against Samuel Peter (28-1, 22 KOs).
“I’m calling out Peter,” Ruiz said, “or any of the other top heavyweights in the world. If Peter wants to step-up and prove himself against a 2–time world champion who has been in 11 world championship fights (including one interim and one eliminator), I’m more than willing, able and ready for him.”
