Pechanga Resort and Casino, Temecula, California - Lightweight contender John Molina Jr. (22-1, 19KOs) stopped Robert Frankel (28-11, 5KOs) in a bloody fight. Frankel was game but he took a beating and had numerous facials cuts that were pouring blood all over the place. At the end of the fifth round, the referee felt Frankel's face had taken too much punishment and he stopped the fight.

Mike Dallas Jr. (17-2, 7KOs) lost a controversial ten round majority decision to Mauricio Herrera (18-1-1, 7KOs) in a junior welterweight contest. The scores were 95-5 for the draw, 98-92 and 96-94 for Herrera. The fight seemed to be clearly in Dallas' favor. The crowd was shocked at the scores. Herrera had trouble with Dallas' accurate jab and his slick style of fighting. Herrera never stopped the pressure but he never put enough punches together to make something happen. Dallas returns from January's knockout loss to Josesito Lopez. Herrera's win streak goes to five, including a January upset decision over Ruslan Provodnikov.
