El Palenque de la Feria in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico - Johan Perez (15-0-1, 12KOs) knocked out Fernando Castaneda (12-5, 11Kos) in the fourth round to win the interim-WBA junior welterweight title. Castaneda was punished and suffered a broken jaw in the loss. The win places Perez in position for a shot at WBA "regular" champion Marcos Maidana.

In the co-feature, Liborio Solis (13-3-1, 7 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over Jose Salgado (27-2, 24 KOs) to win the vacant WBA super flyweight title. The scores were 117-111, 117-111 for Solis and 117-111 for Salgado.
