Unbeaten junior featherweight Joet Gonzalez will fight Marcos Rios this Friday, manager Frank Espinoza told BoxingScene.com Wednesday morning.
The eight round bout will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The Gonzalez-Rios fight will precede the main event bout between Martin Honorio and Miguel Angel Huerta.
Both fights will be televised live on Estrella TV, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT.
Gonzalez (11-0, 5 KOs) scored a third round knockout win over Miguel Tamayo on August 8 in Indio, Calif. He is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.
In his last bout on July 4, Rios (12-0-1, 8 KOs) defeated Alfonso Sandoval by unanimous decision over four round. In 13 bouts, he has only faced one opponent with a winning record.
