"The Love Child" Joel Julio (37-4, 31KOs) has returned to the welterweight ranks. Julio has been fighting at junior middleweight, and above, since December of 2006. He suffered three of his four defeats at the higher weight. On Friday, he returned to 147-pounds to win an easy ten round decision over Anges Adjaho. Julio told BoxingScene.com that he would like to stay very active in 2011, and the man he wants to fight most is WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22KOs).
"I feel good at this weight. I feel real strong. I would like to fight Victor Ortiz. I want to have at least two more fights, and then I want the fight with Victor Ortiz," Julio told BoxingScene.com's Bill Emes.
