As part of the card that takes place on Friday night from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas is super lightweight prospect, Vergil Ortiz (4-0, 4 KO's) from Dallas, Texas. His trainer Joel Diaz is bullish on his future.

In the past, Diaz has trained former two division world champion Tim Bradley and currently works with Lucas Matthysse, who fights on Saturday night against Emanuel Taylor as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the T-Mobile Arena.

So why is Diaz so high on Ortiz?

"Everything about Vergil Ortiz impresses me every day. He's smart, he's got power, he's got confidence and he can break you whenever he wants,"he explained."The most important thing about Vergil Ortiz is this: don't make mistakes in the ring because he'll catch you."

Ortiz, who turned professional last summer and was signed to a promotional deal with Golden Boy Promotions, is just 19 years old. All four of his professional bouts have ended in first-round knockouts. Ortiz is scheduled to face Angel Sarinara (7-5-2, 3 KO's).
