Undefeated junior lightweight prospects Joel Diaz Jr. and Kevin Lavallee will face off against each other on the undercard of the March 14 show in Montreal featuring a main event between light heavyweights Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal.
That’s according to Greg Leon, who heads up Jean Pascal Promotions, which handles Diaz Jr. Leon broke the news during a Jan. 14 press conference, and it was also mentioned in a tweet by promoter Interbox.
Diaz, a 22-year-old from California, is 18-0 with 14 KOs and is coming off a fourth-round knockout of Pedro Navarrete this past December.
Lavallee, a 24-year-old who hails from the province of Quebec, is 13-0-1 with 10 KOs and last fought in August, outpointing Abraham Gomez.
