Former amateur standout Joel Diaz Jr. of Palmdale, CA, headlines the latest Savarese Boxing Promotions fight night at the Bayou City Events Center in Houston on April 4. Diaz (11-0, 10 KOs) takes on Victor Sanchez (4-5, 1 KO) of Houston in a super featherweight bout. Diaz, 21, held an amateur record of 85-10 before turning pro in 2010. His most notable fight to date, on paper at least, was his sixth pro bout in which he stopped Guy Robb, who was 7-0 at that time, in the seventh round.
Converted kickboxer Chase Corley (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Wilson Rodriguez (record unknown) in a middleweight bout. Corley, 28, spent much of the last five years in Thailand compiling a professional record of 16-12 in Muay Thai before transitioning to boxing last year.
Heavyweight Darlington Agha (6-0, 5 KOs) returns to the ring after a two-year layoff against Anthony Greeley (8-39-3, 1 KO). Welterweight Felipe Reyes (2-0, 1 KO) faces Wille Mille (record unknown). Danny Garcia (10-7-2, 7 KOs) takes on David Green (2-14-1, 1 KO) in a lightweight bout. Junior middleweight Jonathan Cashmere (1-0, 1 KO) fights Noe Sandoval (1-1). Bantamweight Noe Bravo (1-4, 1 KO) faces Joe Anthony Narro (0-4). And Edgar Alarcon (0-0-1) takes on Guadalupe Perez (2-12) in a featherweight bout.
