The Tonawanda News reports that heavyweight contender "Baby" Joe Mesi (33-0, 26KOs) has agreed to face George Linberger (29-8-1, 25KOs) of Akron, Ohio, scheduled for 10 rounds at the Mountaineer Race Track and Resort in Chester, W.Va. The fight card will be promoted by Top Rank and televised by the Versus network.
Mesi is currently training in Puerto Rico for the fight.
Linberger, 38-years-old, has not fought since October 05, when he picked up the biggest win of his career by scoring a four round split-decision over the always popular Eric “Butterbean” Esch.
