Joe Calzaghe is tired of his UK countryman Carl Froch continuously calling him out. He says Froch is now a champion and needs to move on with his career. Calzaghe is not interested in facing Froch.

"Carl Froch, who has called me out so many times we could be in a relationship, now says he can understand why I don’t want to fight him, saying it’s a fight where the risk outweighs the potential benefits of taking him on," Calzaghe said to The South Wales Argus. "Froch is a world champion now and it’s time for him to stop trying to make a name for himself based on calling me out, he doesn’t need to do that anymore."

Froch recently made comments that Calzaghe was ducking him because of the risk involved. Calzaghe responded back and said Froch would never win a fight between the two of them.

"He couldn’t stop me and there is no chance he could beat me full stop, but I just don’t have any motivation to face him, especially at super middleweight, which is very hard for me to get down to now," Calzaghe said.

"It might be a fight that appeals to some Brits who have nostalgia for the glory days at super middleweight when there were so many great fighters – Nigel Benn, Steve Collins and Chris Eubank – but it just isn’t a fight with much else to commend it, and it would have zero appeal in America."
