First Enzo Calzaghe recently fired off on WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch. Now his son, Joe Calzaghe, is unloading on his British rival. After last Saturday's knockout of Jermain Taylor, Froch began taunting Calzaghe to come out of retirement. Over the last two years Froch has chased after Calzaghe, but his dreams went up in smoke when Joe announced his retirement a few months ago.

Calzaghe was just as angry as his father Enzo, calling Froch a stalker who is looking for publicity.

“Enough is enough with Carl Froch calling me out, I will tell you categorically that I would not fight the guy even if I did come out of retirement, which I am not going to do," Calzaghe said to South Wales Argus. “I am sick to death of him drumming up free publicity for himself by using my name, no one who watched the fight with Taylor can believe he is in my class, he’s my stalker, nothing more."

Calzgahe, like his father, was not impressed with Froch's recent performance. He believes that he would easily beat Froch, and said fighters like Mikkel Kessler would destroy him. Even if he made a decision to come out of retirement, he would not fight Froch.

“For the first eight rounds against Taylor he was like a goalkeeper with no defense, he was being outclassed and outfought by a middleweight who has seen better days. To be honest it would be frightening what I could do to him if we fought, he doesn’t seem to realize that holding your hands up and defending yourself is a pretty vital part of boxing. I have seen absolutely nothing whatsoever from him that makes me think I should fight him, I couldn’t motivate myself knowing how easily I could beat him and possibly hurt him badly. Frank Warren offered him a fight with me sometime ago and he wasn’t keen, he knows he’s got limited options for the future because guys like Mikkel Kessler would destroy him," Calzaghe said.

“The truth is that whoever I fought if I came out of retirement, I would make big money. But I don’t want to do that, I am very happy being retired and I am sick and tired of having to address a guy who has done nothing to deserve the attention he gets off of my name. I wouldn’t fight him even if I did come back, what would be the point?”
