According to a report in Hoy, former champion Joan Guzman (29-0, 17KOs) plans to target WBA "regular" lightweight champion Paulus Moses (24-0, 17KOs) of Namibia, who sports a near identical records, but has not faced or beaten the same quaility of opponents. Nate Campbell is the WBA's "super" lightweight champ.

Moses won the title last weekend in Japan with a twelve round decision over Yusuke Kobori. Most of his fighters Paulus beat were in Namibia and he received a shot at Kobori because of inter-continental WBA title.

Guzman had a crack at Campbell a few months. The fight was cancelled after Guzman was unable to make the lightweight limit. He returned on December 20 and decisioned Ameth Diaz in a WBA lightweight title eliminator.
