NEW YORK, NY - This Memorial Day weekend, as families across the country gather around the grill, DiBella Entertainment is adding to its own family, announcing four days of new signings that will strengthen a stable that already includes some of the world’s best pugilistic talent. Day two of Memorial Signing Madness continues with a trio of under 24 years old, sky’s-the-limit, undefeated prospects: J’Leon Love, Delen Parsley, Jr., and Luis Rosa.
All three fighters were brought to DBE by the advisor/management duo of Greg Leon and Mike Criscio.
"All three of these youngsters have the potential to become world champions, said Leon. “Boxing fans should follow them closely now, because they will be the true stars of tomorrow."
Love (6-0, 5 KOs), 23, is a Detroit native who made his first appearance under the DBE banner on April 16 at Foxwoods in Connecticut, and made a big impression. Love became the first man to stop seven year veteran JC Peterson by using his blazing speed to force Peterson into the ropes in round two and firing an endless barrage of punches. Love, who had been out of the ring for 11 months prior to the Peterson fight, is looking to keep busy and will return to the ring on June 4 in Atlantic City.
"Working with DiBella Entertainment is a dream come true for me,” said Love. “I feel like for the first time in my career I am going to be handled correctly so I'm very happy with the situation I'm in because I know that my advisor and DBE will do what’s best for me.”
In New York City, the name Delen Parsley is synonymous with boxing as trainer Delen “Blimp” Parsley, Sr. has been a mainstay in New York’s famed Gleason’s Gym, working with many champions throughout the years. Delen Parsley, Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs), 23, spent years watching his dad hold the pads and is now taking that experience out on opponents, racking up five wins in as many fights. Now under the DBE banner, Parsley, Jr., who is not trained by his father despite an excellent relationship between the two, will look to keep piling up wins while graduating from prospect to contender status.
Said Parsley, Jr., "I'm thrilled to be working with DiBella Entertainment. I know that DBE and my advisor will get me the fights I need to get to where I want to go and that's right to the top."
Rosa (6-0, 5 KOs), 20, opened a lot of eyes in his last fight when he went from undercard afterthought to top-flight prospect when he stopped Joseliz Cepeda in five rounds on April 16 in Connecticut. Fighting near his hometown of Hartford, Rosa put a systematic beat down on Cepeda, a former local amateur champion from New Jersey.
“I have a great manager in Mike Criscio, a great coach, and adding DiBella completes a great team,” said Rosa. “I know I will be a future champion with their support.”
“All three fighters have already fought on DBE shows and, without a doubt, there is world title potential in each one of them,” said Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment. “These aren’t some young kids with inflated records who haven’t fought live opposition. Love, Parsley, and Rosa are the champions of tomorrow.”
