WBC featherweight champion In Jin Chi of South Korea is in great shape for his January 29 title defense against Japan's 35 year old veteran Takashi Koshimoto in Tokyo.
In Jin Chi who is managed by well-known businessman-sportsman Kusung Lee has been training at the famed ALA Gym of respected boxing patron Tony Aldeguer in the sprawling complex here in Cebu City and has clearly benefitef from some excellent sparring with WBO Asia Pacific junior lightweight champion Czar Amonsot and Jimrex Jaca who both left for the US for crucial fights with Jaca getting a big break to fight on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Erik Morales rematch next Sunday.
In Jin Chi said he was enjoying training in the warm weather and the fine sparring partners who have helped get him into excellent condition for his title defense after a long layoff due to injury.
In Jin Chi went four furious rounds with Bart Abapo and showed his punching power as well as ring savy while Abapo simply refused to back-off and engaged the world feathweight champion in a series of torrid exchanges.
