Lightweight Jimrex Jaca (28-4-3, 13 KO’s) who was being touted as a genuine prospect after his gallant nine-round stand against Juan Manuel Marquez but has since been a disappointment, seeks to regain lost glory when he battles former WBA super featherweight champion Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai in Thailand on Friday.

Mallon said that when asked whether there was a champion he preferred to fight Nanthachai replied “ I don’t care who I fight or whether its at 135 or 140 pounds. I’ll fight anyone. I just want a title fight.”

In other fights on the same card JR Sollano (13-7, 9 KO’s) who is coming off a ten round unanimous decision over touted Japanese Hiroshige Osawa after suffering a 4th round TKO at the hands of South Africa’s Ali Funeka who fights Zahir Raheem in a title eliminator on July 5, faces undefeated  Kietyongyuth (14-0, 10 KO’s) for the vacant Asian Boxing Council title.

Mallon reports that the Thai a "superb prospect" is hoping to land a bout with Australian-based Ranee Ganoy who is seeing action on a July 19 fight card in Cebu City.

The Philippines Javier Malunan (12-3, 7 KO’s) will take on 39 year old Thai veteran Pramuansak Posuwan (42-1-1, 22 KO’s) in one of the supporting bouts.
