Mexican promoter Oswaldo Kuchle has revealed that his company was approached by Zanfer Promotions CEO Fernando Beltran, who wants to get Jorge 'Travieso' Arce (63-7-2, 48KOs) a shot at WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (55-8, 47KOs). Arce, who recently returned to boxing, wants to capture a world title in his fifth weight division. He has his sights set on Gonzalez's title.

One thing that would have to be overcome is the television conflict. Zanfer has an exclusive deal with TV Azteca, and Kuchle's boxers see action on Televisa.

"I had a conversation with Fernando Beltran and we talked about the possibility of that fight," Kuchle said. "The boxing world takes many turns, it is very versatile, and we can not say no to anything. Interestingly, I told you that once I spoke with Fernando Beltran about having the Arce fight on Televisa, and they replied with a proposal for Jhonny with TV Azteca and we said no. It would be very good fight, I think Arce deserves it."
