Two-time WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-8, 48KOs) has set his thoughts on a collision course with the current WBC super featherweight champion, Takashi Miura (28-2-2, 21KOs), who is known as the Mexican Killer with consecutive victories over Edgar Puerta, Dante Jardon, Sergio Thompson and Gamaliel Diaz.
At some point before the end of the year, Gonzalez wants to move up in weight and challenge for another title
"One of my goals this year is conquering another world championship in a different division," vows Jhonny.
Jhonny believes that his desire would be fulfilled during the next months as he's set his heart and mind on branching out and entering the select group of Mexican fighters to conquer a trio of World titles.
“I'm convinced that this opportunity will come to me soon. Maybe during the first half of this year. And when it comes I hope to become the WBC super featherweight champion," Gonzalez said.
