Last Thursday, World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight world champion Jhonny Gonzalez knocked out Rogers Mtagwa in two rounds to retain his title in El Paso, Texas. Earlier this month, Gonzalez was challenged by WBO super bantamweight champion Jorge Arce. Gonzalez is more than willing to accept this challenge and wants to get Arce in the ring.

"I heard that Arce challenged me through different media outlets, that he wants to fight me and wants my belt. I want to tell you that I accept [his challenge] and I would gladly deal with him. As I've said since I got the title, my idea is to face the best in the world and the I think Arce is one of those fighters. Top Rank and Zanfer, hopefully they rech an agreement with my promoters for this fight," Gonzalez said.
